This is a bug that was fixed a version or two ago. Which version of the mod are you using? And what's your checksum?
Still, that was a fun bug, I liked it

My checksum is CMWV. I don't know what version I have but I got the most recent one about a week ago.
Ah, I see what I did. The bug was fixed, but I didn't update the tooltip (which is actually separate from the code, in this case).
So it works if you select the option, but I'll fix the tooltip.

Heh. Clearly the religion head should be omitted from the plot, if they are also a fellow vassal.
I'll fix it -- though you could just report this kind of thing in the Bug Thread rather than the "I am confused" thread. That's like "this thing is clearly broken -- WAD?".
EDIT: Although it's odd -- "controls_religion = no" is in the target_potential for the plot. Is this with the newest version? I just tried using the plot on the Pope in the latest version (after vassalizing him to the Carolingian Empire) and I couldn't.

He's an anti-pope if that's relevant.
Ah! That would be it. An anti-pope doesn't control a religion, but IS your rightful religion head. Thanks, I'll change it.
