So I was playing CK1, and playing as Toulouse, I did the whole Aquitaine trick (wedding Agnes d'Aquitaine to get the extremely wealthy duchy under your control), but the old ruler stubbornly held on, and didn't die.
That got me thinking. In real life history, claims to an inheritance were often pursued by rulers in the name of their child, even before the old ruler died. Why not do this in CK2? Basically, if your child has a claim, you can get the claim yourself for much more prestige, and if you succeed in gaining the inheritance through war, your new vassals won't like you as much, because you didn't wait for the inheritance to go through legally, but you will still have it.
Would this be doable in CK2?
