Getting into SR.

I have recently been looking at getting a supreme ruler game. I have never played one before. Would I be better off getting Supreme Ruler 2020 gold? or SR Cold War?

Since both games are nearly identical in core gameplay, the choice is yours. Do you want to play in a futuristic era or do you want to play during the past. While SRCW does have some added features and a more streamlined interface, it's fresh out of development so they haven't worked all of the bugs out yet.
