Looked around (man there is lots of stuff to go through :) ) and didn't find anything on the below questions.. help!

1. Any way to delete tax collectors. I have a provice that's got rebel trouble (due to religion) so I want to remove the tax collector. Possible?

2. Does Nationalism go away in a captured province. Might not be worth the cost of holding it unless I know I only have to do it for while (rebel problems again, Nationalism + religion + tax = TOR 'tons of rebels').

3. Any way other than marriage and giving gifts to countries to make them happy with you? Damn expensive (and they never give anything to me :( ). Also under this.. does your religion tolerance have any effect. Eg low tolerence to Catholic's drop your rating to a Catholic country. Note: changable trade tax rate for each country (like Imperialism game) would be cool. Drop the rates for your allies to make them happy.

4. Does kicking some army butt to help an ally help in your relationship. I did this for Venice (I was Russian) against Turkey and took 3 province which allowed Venice to get peace (I think). I got nothing in compensation when Venice agreed to peace and didn't see a change in the ratings.

5. Any way to stop kicking out your allies from your COT and ticking them off (and then having to pay MORE money to get them happy again).

6. Couldn't find an explanation for base tax rate of a province.

7.I take it there is no way to see if the other country has any money before asking for a cash peace. Bites as I end up with provinces I don't want. (how about having the enemy take the loan from you, paying you interest on the loan and if you keep doinging it 'money cheat' you bankrupt him and the loans are written off but with no bankrupt penalty to him)

Sorry for all the questions, many thanks for any help.

1. Only one way i know: edit your savegame (quite simple, just look up your country and edit the appropriate things. And it's easy to find them and edit them).
2. Goes away after 30 years, 1% per ten years
3. Nope. Religion has some minor effect on your relations though, IIRC
4. Not as far as i know
5. You could declare trade embargo on them. If your allies COT's are the richest in the world, wouldn't you want a part of it?
6. ??? what are you asking really? Why? How? Where? What? Wazzup?
7. Just ask for peace only Jan 1st. Then they have just recived and their coffers are full.

Hope it helps

Are there Exceptions to this Rule? Because I Annexed Scotland in 1943 as England. And never got the Nationalism Revolt Penalty. But any other province I get I have the Penalty.

Thanks for the info. I had my non orthodox religions jacked up hoping it would really help my relations.

Hehe I think the trade embargo would tick them off even more. Oh I can understand why they would want a piece of my COT but those poor guys (allies) had one or two merchants and Turkey and Poland having 4-5 each in my COT. Just wanted to kick those guys out with competition (tried doing an embargo on those two and got into.... trouble)

Base Tax rate. When you look at the province income info the top stat (or close to top) is Tax Rate and Base Tax Rate
I can imagine the TR is the BTR + bonuses from building collectors etc. Just wondering where the Base number comes from.

Oh yeah, asking for peace on Jan 1st. Should have thought of that one myself

Avoid sending more merchants after you reach lvl 5 in a COT

6. Couldn't find an explanation for base tax rate of a province.

Fixed value depending on the wealth of the ENTIRE province (ie pop in province capital doesn't affect it).
