I think they will be more suitable for W.P. motorised infantry, because there were no mechanised divisions in soviet army. Well there were, but only until 1956, when they were reformed into motorized divisions.MalteG said:

Though a little nitpick, you probably want to exchange 60-70 models with 80-90(so 60 will be 80 and 70 will be 90), because BMP's came later than BTR's and were more advanced(at least it's logical from my point of view)
another thing not related to the previous topic.. Why isn’t the Mil Mi-28 Havoc in the SOV attack helicopter list? I would have put it in BRIG_MODEL_9_4 insted of KA-50 but thats just me

Because in 1980's Ka-50 won the competition in USSR as new AT helicopter, not Mil-28. Light armor brigade means light tanks and light wheeled armor(like those Italian Dardo AC's, with 120mm cannons), though jeeps are surely not the right thing.
EDIT: and if you have any more question regarding models/models name, it's better to ask about them in corresponding threads.

Well,transfer from BMP's to BTR's looks like downgrade to me(would you like to have BMP-2 with 30mm autocannon and ATGM or BTR-80 with 14,5mm MG as APC/IFV for your troops?). But remember, this is just my IMHO, you are free to make them in whatever order you like.MalteG said:

Well, equipment wise, it looks good (BTR-50, BTR-60PB/70, BMP-1, BMP-2, BMP-2). If you really want to preserve that Afghanistan era picture, you can make it 70's Mot infantry model picture and find some generic BTR picture for 60's model. Or you can just change 60's model picture for something more suitable for that era(e.g. not Afghanistan picture).
