Hi, I know this will take a bit of coding and time but it strikes me as odd that despite using the same account for Steam and GOG that it doesn't automatically match my purchases when it seemingly links with many other sites. It is odd because the launcher knows that it is the same account, it takes me to the accounts page from the launcher when launched either from Steam or GOG wherein it shows Steam is linked yet the content of the launcher itself is not the same. The only difference in account between them is that the Steam version has the Steam icon next to the account username.
So my question and suggestion is: why don't you manage the entire thing through the main Paradox account, thus enabling it to automatically sync purchases across versions given that both already identify as such?
The other part is I now know that you can do it the long way and manually enter the purchase codes which I tried but it says they have expired which also doesn't make sense to me when I literally own them on the same account and apparently only GOG is different in not linking and therefore worse despite it supposedly being the more open platform. I didn't use the codes earlier because I expected it to just sync using the same account, GOG literally picks both versions up itself and I have linked them both on GOG yet there is still a separation between the versions (in GOG they show up as two versions of the same game).
I can somewhat make do with this, simply launching either the GOG version if playing base or Steam if playing with mods and sorry if this post comes off as rude or angry, it's just annoying having to have both versions installed when they use the same account and I have the purchases there.
