Good 1v1 and 1v1v1 setups

I have a friend with a minimal LAN setup and we like to play heads-up games of DD. I was wondering if any of you veterans out there knew of any reasonable setup in 1v1 games?

We're also thinking of expanding the LAN to include three players, perhaps this creates greater opportunities for a fair setup?

Advice is much appreciated.

1 vs 1 is ideal for of course Battlescenario's which is a nice contest.

If u want to play a normal game, take UK vs Germany. Is always fun. Both strong and the main players.

You can also choose Italy and the UK. But this can be quite hard for the Italian player, but offers a bit changes for the war to take a normal path of war so to say.

Thanks guys. I guess we'll have to improve our skills then. It seems as though the advantage of the Soviets in 1v1 is too great to allow for a real competitive game.
