I intend to try and get my friends to play EU2 on LAN overe the holidays. They are more used to fast FTS games like warcraft3 so I need to find a map which plays out pretty quickly. I tried the fantasia map SP but it seemed too empty. What MP maps would you guys recommend?

MP related stuff in the MP forum, please and thank-you.

Dago's Napoleon Scenario, version 1.3. There aren't too many others really AFAIK, though wars can be arranged in some of the regular scenarios.

Elio, he wants something that plays out in a short period of time. No Grand Campaign does that.

Besides the Nappy scenario linked above, you can try any of the main scenarios that come with EU2 and start after 1492, such as Age of Enlightenment, Age of Mercantilism, etc. If you do, set an ending date other than 1820, and play the scenario as a short one with specific goals. The Age of Mercantilism, for example, can be used to play out the Thirty-Years War, if you like. End the game in 1650, which can be done in about 5 hours of good hard playing at Slow to Below Normal, plenty slow enough to manage the armies involved, without taking more than, at most, two short or one long session.

Enjoy the holidays. :)
