Graphics Help?

My comp seems to meet all the specs but the game is still laggy. I have turned down all of the graphics in the option menu but is there anything else I can do??

I know it might be my graphics card so heres my specs:

Intel(R) G965 Express Chipset Family

IDK much about graphics card so would that be why I have lag or no?

Also if so, what would be a good graphics card to get that would run this game smoothly? Preferabbly something cheap.

Sometimes my tactical level battles get really laggy despite my pretty good computer (I have GeForce 9800gtx+). Restarting the game helps in such cases. So first see if after a restart it's any faster. Also try new drivers for your graphics card.

G965 I believe was a C2D motherboard chipset, not graphics card...

Fitz25: I believe an integrated intel 965 graphic solution is not meant for this kind of games.

Delra: Do you have the latest drivers for your card? I had the same problem at tactical but upgrading the graphic driver worked (I also have nvidia 9 series). The G series from the intel chipsets has integrated graphic.

It is also a good idea to shut down all background tasks which is not required in order to make the games more stable. I usually do this with great results. You can achieve this with the task manager by selecting the name of the process under the processes tabs and end them. You will be surprised how many unnecessary applications are loaded into your system.
It is also a good idea to tune the startup environment with msconfig (look through the startup tab).
