Graphics Overhaul / HD Textures

Hello there

I have recently decided to finally play another BATTLETECH campaign with the latest DLC and a number of mods (played a few vanilla campaigns after release)

One thing that I found was - well rather did *not* find - was mods polishing up the graphics of the game.

I am playing with max settings and max resolution on a rather big 4k Screen and just couldn't help myself but notice that the graphics in the battles are really dated (guess Unity is just very limited here?).

- The terrain looks washed - sometimes like a bucket of color that just had been splashed at the screen.
- Color set is sometimes really bland. With certain lighting (sunset and sunrise) its especially bad I think.
- Textures seem to have a low resolution overall.
- Mechs sometimes really hard to distinguish from the background.

I am not expert by far, so it is just a general impression. Anyhow, I checked for mods that tackle this and did not find anything. No HD textures either.

I really wish we could get some more eye candy to enjoy this glorious game with even more glorious graphics.

I wonder if there are some "low hanging fruit" to grab to improve the visuals maybe with an future update (HD textures?) or even something that could be done with future DLCs? I would pay for it, personally.

Ofc optional stuff so those who do not have that powerful PCs will not be busted ...

Maybe I missed some good mods?

Check out the "Crystal Clear" mod, think it's on Nexus or git. It has a number of settings you can edit to remove a lot of the color washing and grain. It won't make the textures any higher, but it's something.
