Great problem with patching and installing

Hello!

After some year without playing EU2 I decided play it again adding the 1.08 patch. The game seems to install correctly and runs perfect BUT:

WHEN TRYING TO PATCH APPEARS "EU2 IS NOT INSTALLED" (WHEN REALLY IT IS ) AND IF I RE-ENTER THE CD WHEN THE AUTORUN EXECUTES THE OPTION ARE "INSTALL" AND "EXIT" AND NOT PLAY

The game runs fine, I played lots of games. But it doesn't recognized as installed nor by the PC and so the patch.

I've tried in several PC with win98 and winXP, reinstalling and... nothing. My CD is the US 1.04. I ve read also your thread with starting solutions, but my problem seems to be different

Looks like a problem with the registry keys.

It is probably a good idea to uninstall the game using the Self help guide (post 4) and than reinstall it.

I've installed several times in different folders, but always in drive C: and in some of the default folders (I mean sometimes not in "program files" o "archivos de programa" but directly in "europa universalis" or "paradox" or so)
As said above, perhaps could be a problem with registry...

Ok, i'll try it. I suppose the key it's only at HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SOFTWARE, it isn't or it is in another more place?

I had the same problem with the Typhoon Games Asian EU 2 1.04. There was no regestry key and the game didn't show up as installed.

I didn't know how to fix it, so I just bought the german EU2.

Has anyone a solution to the problem??

The Typhoon release was seperate release not supported by Paradox.
In all cases the Publisher writes the installer so Paradox has nothing to do with that part.

Check with the uninstal instructions linked above, for details on finding the registry entries.
