Well, he certainly wasn't the best ruler, but at least he didn't screw it all up when he chose not to go elective.

What a wuss. And overly ambitious vassals need a firm hand! Let's hope his son is more competent. And I'm confused about the lack of heirs you mentioned. The worst case scenario (which wouldn't be so bad at all) is if the English branch of the Dunkelds inherited. Unless they die out too of course.
