Northwest Harris County Map One – Update v1.2
Change Log:
- Expanded neighborhoods and roads near Highway 99, adding more residential and commercial areas to improve city growth.
- Added Boudreaux Road, fully extending it from Highway 99 to TX-249, providing better connectivity and traffic flow.
- Expanded neighborhoods near Hufsmith-Kohrville Road, adding more streets and zoning to enhance suburban development.
- Refined road layouts and zoning, optimizing intersections and main roads for improved traffic efficiency.
- General terrain adjustments, smoothing out uneven areas and improving the overall map layout.
Next Update (v1.3) – Coming Soon:
- Expansion to the Walmart area, adding surrounding roads, commercial lots, and parking zones.
- Additional road extensions and new neighborhood developments to improve suburban coverage.
- Further terrain enhancements and detailing for a more realistic landscape.

Harris County Map Project – Development Paused
Attention, Cities: Skylines II players and followers of the Northwest Harris County Map Project:
Due to ongoing stability issues and frequent crashes in Cities: Skylines II, all further updates to the Northwest Harris County map are on hold until the game receives a major update to improve performance.
This decision ensures that future expansions—including the planned Walmart area update—are developed on a more stable and playable version of the game.
Community Contribution:
You are now free to upload your own versions of this map to Paradox Mods. If you do so, please give proper credit for the original work.

I totally understand why you have paused your project. Especially after this latest June update which is an ultimate failure on the people at Paradox.
I live in Cypress, so I hope Paradoxx gets new programmers and focuses on the core issues so that I can see your future expansions. Thx for sharing what you have so far!
Question, what it Matnoya County? Montgomery County perhaps (The Woodlands/Lake Conroe??) or Matagorda? It doesn't matter, just curious.

Full map redo initiated using mods to expand tile limits and enable a mega map layout.
Top priority areas under development before release:
TX-249 (Tomball Parkway): Complete routing and interchange detail.
Spring Cypress Road: Accurate placement and neighborhood connections.
FM 2920: Realistic pathing with surrounding zoning.
User's neighborhood area: Custom terrain and road design for accuracy.
Release Plan:
The map will not be published until these four areas are fully complete. This ensures the foundation of the mega map is solid, detailed, and gameplay-ready.

To everyone who’s been patiently waiting since March: thank you. The project was on pause due to constant crashes and technical issues with my setup—but I’m happy to share that my computer is running smoothly again, and development is officially back on track.
Your support and patience mean a lot, and this next version will be the biggest and most detailed yet. Let’s build Harris County the way it deserves to be—bigger, better, and more realistic than ever. ️️
