Several articles of news(unbiased!) paint an interesting tale of economics, and real subterfuge. Future DH will have to know what roster of flags to pin at the beginning of each scenario, and simply accomplish it.

The Road to War will be a complicated interplay of political unrest and economic debts, the certain solution is a bold conservatism or waving the white flag in abeiance to a new global dominance in China, especially, or even Russia, as it would be unfair to not give Russia a chance. :D

The future of DH will need to rethink how economics and politics interplay. A loan from China for instance, if accepted would push your policy sliders to a degree. Or, cutting government spending in specific bureacracies can save a bigger dissent hit in a possible economic recession although incurring a much smaller hit to dissent at the decision.

I do hope the several unique modern(post!) day mods can come together and share contemporary lore, cultural and political. Cheers!

Remember! We aren't seeking answers or ultimatums, but only possibilities.

This is something the DH by its nature, can't emulate. It is fantastic at simulating 1930s and 1940s warfare. Anything else has to imitated through dice rollings, which can be done more efficiently with a random number generator.

Excellent point. Modern missiles would leave an air base and reach the target in only two steps, so some kind of anti missile defence would literally have to be built everywhere and require a new addition of mechanics to the code.

If DH had AOD supply/logistics system, and ability to build in allied provinces and to give controlled non-core provinces over to allies with right click like AOD, that would be awesome. DH-AOD hybrid the dream.
