The Guerra do Ultramar (Overseas War), or as it is known nowadays: Guerra Colonial Portuguesa (Portuguese Colonial War), was a Cold War conflict, that saw the Portuguese troops squaring off against USSR and USA funded rebels.

If I were to play Portugal, in the sandbox mode, would this war be featured?

Or at lest, will there be rebels, funded by external forces, in which their goal is to achieve independence, in a similar way to what happened in real life?

And the how about the 25 de Abril (25th of April)? The revolution that ended the war?

I won't get into all of the details but Portugal does start with all the colonies it had in 1949, each one can be interacted with individually and each will have its own desire for independence. It would be possible for Portugal to find itself in a similar position to what happened historically, struggling to maintain control over its colonies in the face of open revolt generated by funding from foreign powers. As these events really only start eleven game years after the start of the Campaign, it is hard to say how common this would be. Some players might reach 1961 to find Portugal with a firm control of its colonies or it might not even exist by then...
