Re: My First Picks

First, there is no Russia in CK. There is Rus however (unless the Russian developers will tae their national pride over historical accuracy ;-) ).

Second, i think you missed point about what is CK about.

I had an impression that in CK it would extremely hard to do Europe Conquest (EC for short) because the game is not about building your empire, but about building strenght of you dynasty - about making it famous, prestigeous and wealthy. So I have impression that you can _dominate_ over Europe, but conquering it will be extremely difficult, or maybe even developers will make it impossible? I may be wrong, but that's the impression i got from FAQs and previews.

But going back to the topic, i will go for any country, preferably my own :-D in scenario in which Mongols will go for European throats. Trying to unite quarelling and egoistic vassals against all odds including random events (unprovoked revolt in Danzig. Oops, wrong game) should be fun. At least for me.

Well, so far there is 1066 and 1187 as scenarios- who knows whether they will be more.

I'll try and succeed were Barbarossa failed. Holy, Roman and an Empire!

First Blood!

I will certainly start out with either the Teutonic Order, the East Roman (Byzantine) Empire, Croatia or maybe Kiev if thats possible.

The reason for playing as Byzantium is that it could be fun to play when the empire is at its highest (or stronger than in EU2 anyway).

One thing I'm sure of: I will conquer the east, battle the muslims and carve out an empire for myself...and i just can't wait!

This puts me in mind of the 'first played nation' thread... I too anticipate Byzantium will be most players' number one choice. The 1337 scenario sounds fun.
