If you are like me and not very good at coding and constantly need to reference vanilla files to see how the devs have put things together to get ideas how to code and script your mods then maybe you could benefit from this little tip.
Open Indexing Options, you can access it from the Control Panel or simply search for it if you're on a newer Windows.
Select Modify and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris and put a checkmark in the box.
Click OK.
Should look similar to this.
Next click on Advanced and then File Types.
Ensure that text, lua and yml extensions are all set to Index Properties and File Content. If the file type isn't listed add it in the Add New Extension to list and then set it to Index Properties and File Content.
The index will need to rebuild after this and will take some time. But future searches in the Stellaris folder should provide you fast results.
A lot of questions can be answered by simply looking in vanilla files.
