Since 3.7, paradox has changed the resource upkeep/cost/production reduction modifiers. This caused some mods that remove upkeep to not work anymore.

"Capped resource upkeep/cost/production reduction modifiers to -90% for any given case. I.e. you will no longer be able to have completely free upkeep on jobs which are meant to cost upkeep."

I know that Stellaris’s main focal point is economic management but I sometimes want to play Stellaris as an “empire architect” game in a very relaxing manner for which I don’t have to worry about upkeep and just build a galactic civilization for me to look at after a hard day at work.

To make it clear, I am aware of the infinite resource cheats, but I would like to avoid typing the cheat code all the time. I would much prefer that I don’t have to worry about deficits and no need to type console commands repeatedly.

I am trying to mod the game files myself to undo the paradox changes to the said modifiers, but due to so many changes/updates, the guides on the paradox wiki may not be up-to-date, and also the Error 426 Unknown Error is hampering my efforts. I am also kind of stuck on which files in the “common” folders contain the said modifiers

So far, I think that it is related to “scripted_modifiers” “economic_categories” and some “upkeep_multi”

I know it is a big ask, but I would like to ask if someone from this community can provide some sort of guide/instruction to which game files where I can find those modifiers and how to change them to undo the -90% effect on relevant modifiers.
