Another point I'd add is the self designation to be a spokesperson of 'large group' of people :p "Me and many other people that I know.." or"I speak for a lot of other people.."

Oh look, hot take of the day. Never heard that one before.
As an aside, the devs being willing to throw some shade back at ornery forumites and generally engage in the conversation as real human beings is one of the things I used to love about Paradox. Doesn't happen as much in the other games anymore. Glad to see the old ways live on in the Imperator dev team.

Mechanically eu4 is a bit outdated and the systems too complex for adding new stuff... But just look at the new map. So much history added.
And the dev dairies throughout the year are still exciting. Just so bad the eu4 forum is getting really toxic.

As a developer, I will work from this moment to the day I retire to introduce the technical label of "rewonkify" for the act of updating or changing a system or piece of software that has been deployed to production. It's just too good a term to not have a place in the IT-business.
We need an art developer to design our mascot: Gloom McDoomface

They were thinking about Mr. McDoomface already in 2019:

He does look like he is just about to explain to you why you’re wasting your time developing a game with Vicky 2 player numbers. :p

Nobody can tell me that playing tribes is fully satisfactory at the moment. Having dozens of little armies, parted by regions and clanchiefs, cannot be fun.

nice that employees make fun of reviews, it would be better to fix the problems

It is fairly obvious that reworking tribal mechanics simply hasn't been on the agenda so far.

I expect that sooner rather then later we will see a big update focusing on "barbarians" that will likely include a mayor tribal rework.

(And come on, you know very well that 'Harhar, the devs don't even play tribes' isn't a "review"...)

Dude, I bet the devs eat their soup with a spoon.

1/10, game unplayable.

Reviews? Did I miss something, because I am pretty sure what I read was not a review. Going "I don't think the devs have played tribals" is not even close to one. That's like walking up to a random person and go "Lol, do you even know how to do your job?". Did you expect a friendly response? Would you be friendly to people who did that to you?

How about something like "I think the tribal gameplay is subpar at the moment because of <X> reasons."? Or maybe "Hey, I wish the devs would focus more on the tribal gameplay, because I feel like there are certain issues at the moment like <X>."? Those are reviews and feedback that we would listen to, because they would at least be remotely constructive in nature.

Don't expect devs to play ball with you, if you act like an idiot.

I think misery loves company, hence this thread and it's forebears lol.

Personally I feel the game has come a long way, and we've got capable hands to take it there.
We've also got more and more mods being put together. As long as that community continues to grow - we'll have a steady increase in player base.
