...I still haven't yet taken a Silver or Gold Landmark. I either lose my games or restart them for other reasons before I get strong enough to take one of these on.

(I am assuming you can only take 1 stack with you like in AoW III).

Silvers are actually rather easy. I took the Promethean one last last game with 3 Indentured, a Mirage, an Overseer and a sniper hero. Only lost 2 of the indentured. The only mod they had was the Syndicate tier 1 accuracy.

Also I haven't personally confirmed it but some have claimed you can wear them down. So make a sacrificial stack of your tier 1 and throw them in. Focus fire down as many units as you can, ideally the tier 4, and then go in with your hard stack.

You can take gold structures with mostly T1 umits that have been modded properly as long as you've done some decent research into operations effectiveness.

Yeah the defenders currently don't respawn. So you can simply wear them down with one army, and finish with a second. Or better yet manual it to kill some enemies then retreat to save most of your force.

If its too strong than I am, I send in the army and take out whatever approaches me first, this tends to be the weaker enemy units. So I kill the weaker ones first then retreat to repair the damages and then come back to try finish it off.

Captured my first silver, yesterday with the "send 1 stack in to take out some guys, send in a 2nd stack to clean up" method. It was the Promethean one where they launch nukes at you every 3 rounds (pretty devastating against snipers).

The only one I saw really hard was one that had infinite duration +1 shield on being hit, on that big assembly "vehicle" that looks like Frankenstein's monster. I cleared the rest with zero issues, but my stack of indentured without melee capabilities had no answer to it once it got past 20 shields. Definitely the worst I've personally seen.

I dealt with it as Syndicate by killing the rest of them, summoning a Sentinel, and retreating. That killed it slowly, 3 damage a turn. I guess you could use most fliers instead.
