I know lot of dudes dont have change play in internet because to router or firewall.It makes LAN over internet and so everybody can play absolotely every LAN game. And that all through routers and firewalls. Does someone have tried with Hamachi.

I have - and posted this on the MP forum.

My group is using it - playing HoI2 as a "LAN" game.
Its very usefull in our experience. Does get rid of all the router and Vnet issues.

And enables the use of more than one PC per Internet connection (if you have the bandwidth) thus enabling a blend of LAN (with a friend in the same room) plus internet play with several other players.

Setting up software firewalls is a bit of a problem though - so far we just shut the software firewalls down relying on our routers protection during the playingtime.

Hi Zachary,

we are currently in the middle of a 1936 campaign (Jan. 1939 which is more like the beginning...) and can only play on wednesday evenings - that means it will take us a while to finish this.

Our version is HoI2 1.3b with GDE fix.

As to the possibility of joining our group in future games:

1. I would have to ask the group members as we all know each others personally so far and have not recruited extra players yet.
2. I would have to check with our computer geek if hamachi (which is a virtual LAN proggi) is safe enough to be used with complete strangers - no offense intended.
3. Your internet connection should be good enough to play HoI2 online. (DSL 768 kbits or better) The programm doesn't help when it comes to bandwidth requirements.

Please give ur patches exact versions what have u installed and where I can download it. I messed up my version with stupid patches. Right now I am playing with my friend HoI with Hamachi
