got to dneiper in south. had a massive salient but it got nowhere. in the north i was driving on moscow/lenningrad. encircled huge forces. was about to take pskov when a verdun happened. my panzer force was shattered and i was overwhelmed by 1943.

I just started my first WiF game after half a year of vanilla (due to WiF's former incompatibility with 1.3b2) and guess what? Poland just annexed Slovakia, conquered Vienna and encircled and destroyed the motorized corps I have sent there as reinforcements...
Restarting Fall Weiss now.
/Repeating my new mantra: *I will not be defeated by AI Poland!*

Round Two: I managed to fare much better in Poland, though the 25 Polish divisions in Torun make it near impossible to get through to Warszawa. At least, this time the Polish did not rush through Slowakia and I have seized Krakow in mid September. By that time the French were trying to overwhelm my ten divisions in Saarbrücken so I reshuffled my defenses there - thank god for the long combat time in WiF. British bombers have eradicated the defenders of Wilhelmshafen, my main Interceptor base. Well, this was kind of unexpected considering I had six squadrons of Messerschmidts buzzing around there, but oh well. Of course the buzzing was muted rather quickly when the Brits invaded Wilhelmshafen - then undefended - three days later, catching six of my total seven interceptor squadrons on the ground and destroying them. A few hours later I receive the news that my tank spearhead in Lublin has been cut off by overwhelming Polish forces and is now being attacked from four sides. I decide to have a nap now and restart the Poland campaign later.
I also decide to amend my mantra: *I will not be defeated by AI Poland, nor will I lose my entire Luftwaffe to AI UK!*
