Having problems with file extentions???

I have followed the instructions on Oranje's faq page on creating a scenario with a minor power. I have used Notepad like the faq suggests and when I save the file as 'all files', it appears with a text icon and will not appear in the scenarios menu. What am I doing wrong? I would like to create a few minor power scenarios starting with Georgia.
New question, what elements of the data files should be modified to ensure a minor power is viable (has historical leaders, events, etc.)?

Just edit the extension to the right one (.txt to .eug)

BiB, that didn't work. I have them saved as .eug extentions but when you bring up the game it still doesn't list them as scenarios. I have the files in the scenario folder with the other game scenarios, no joy.
Any idea on the other question?

If You save in wordpad or notepad, You should use 'save as' and then type 'nameofscenario.eug' WITH the quotation marks. The file should have the proper extension then.

P.S.: You only thought You have changed the extension, but it still is a *.txt. Txt-extension isn´t shown in Windows, so You have just renamed the file 'nameofscenario.eug.txt'. You´ll see this in dosmode where you would have to change the extension btw. But it´s probably easier to load it in notepad again and then save like I said above.

Edit the extension in file manager or so (u don't have to go as drastic as DOS mode ), I meant.

Hartmann, BiB, Thank you for the help, the scenario edit works fine. Back to the remaining question from the thread, what files/fields would you suggest modifying to make a minor more playable?

People like leaders when playing with a minor.

Starting situation wise, look at Prussia for example to get soem ideas.
