Thats a shame Hive. Would you care to elaborate on the process so that we budding modders may continue your good works?

I didn't do much work, really... all I did was to rename the *.bmp and *.spr files to fit the EUII unit files, and then alter country.csv so that the Knights use the sprites.

All sprite sequences *except* the combat sequences work fine. The problem with the combat is that the CK versions use more than twice the amount of frames used in EUII - resulting in EUII displaying them wrong....

The only way of fixing it I can think of is some severe copy-pasting - which will not only be kinda difficult, but also take a lot of time...

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I discovered that the problem was caused by a mistake by me.

The bad news is that I ran into another problem: the CK battle sprites are un-alligned with the EUII battle sprites, because the transparrent space between the actual sprites are much bigger in CK.

Add to that a minor problem with the CK sprites being slightly bigger...

EDIT: Actually, the mistake wasn't mine - it was an error in the CK *.spr file... but it seems to work fine in CK, regardless...

Here's a nice little screenie, everything seems ok:

But... here's a screenie that clearly shows the problem:

I'm afraid I have no idea how to solve this...

Well, if he just posts how to convert them, there isn't any problem I can see, as only people with CK would be able to utilise the knowledge

I meant if he posted a final product. I may be wrong and I hope I am. But doing Law makes you look at things different :p. Of course if he posts a conversion method then theres nothing wrong with that.

What a flanking maneuver! :D

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but could there be a copyright problem with using and publishing CK converted sprites?

There would be an obvious copyright problem if I publish them, yes - and I won't do that.

But since I haven't found a way to make them fully compatible anyway, that's not a problem... :p
