Nah, lots of people, who gave colour to the community have left, replaced by a greater number of noobs that have yet to distinquish themselves.

I see a lot of innovative ideas and colorful discussions all the time, as much as before if not more. Yours is the attitude of an old man Mulli... "it was better in the old days..."-syndrom. :p

I beg to differ. Mulliman is saying that there is great potential left in the community, only that they have not revealed themselves to the world yet.

Correct!
There are lots of pessimists among the oldies right now though, led by the crazy Count Drew, who sits on his throne of Whinery, spewing gall over the hearts of the joyfull!

"noob" is such a negative word, for me a noob is someone who doesnt understand the game and play it as they wish. They don't give a damn about how you should really play the game and thus dont bother to learn the basics.

I belive "newcomer" or even "newbie" is more appropriate in this case :)

Well, all those words means the same to me. However, you have lots of possible personality among this ensemble.

Hmmm... that makes me a n00b then. But I am a happy n00b!

I don't believe I have ever even read ******'s guide, I tried to find it on here and I couldn't.

It did however remind me of an incident about 6-9 months ago when someone from the spanish (or french? forget) forum sent me and archduke a PM asking for permission to translate 'Damo and Dukey's guide' into their language.

Still, I'd give away all that posterity just to have slug and hog back in SLARGOS. :(

EDIT: Just out of idle curiousity, why is Ryo banned and his name replaced by asterisks?

After you've banned Damocles BiB, you're welcome to take his place in Battlefront3 :D

then BF3 thread will be twice longer :D

so you play to ruin a game for others just because you refuse to learn how the game works? ;)
No, your description of n00b said nothing about ruining a game. It said:

1) doesnt understand the game
2) play it as they wish
3) don't give a damn about how you should really play the game
4) dont bother to learn the basics

I don't check event files and never have bothered to learn all events and their chance by heart, so no I don't understand the game (I like to be suprised in games). I play as I damn well want. I don't know who or where it was defined "how this game really should be played". I don't bother to learn the basics (what ever they are), I go by gutfeel, because manuals are for losers.

So yes, I am a n00b according to your description.

The perfect attitude imo. If I had a Church everyone would be forced to play like that :D
