hi, i just purchased Hearts of Iron II collection from direct 2 drive to day, i go to install the patch for doomsday and it says "doomsday is not installed on your computer" when it clearly is i uninstalled re-installed it to different paths and still cant get it to work please help.

that might be true i think it says its already patched but the other reason this is a problem is that im trying the modern day scenario mod also for it and its giving me the same error saying it cannot find Doomsday please install it same message when i go to patch for some reason it cant find the game. i have win 7.
I believe that both Direct2Drive and Steam use a customized version of the executable file (hoi2.exe), and that you need to look for any patches on the D2D site - the normal patches from Paradox won't work.
The customized file also means that any MOD that needs to modify the hoi2.exe with a No Time Limit patch, such as MDS, won't work either.
