I suppose this is more of a question than anything: is it common to start having extreme lag on month-to-month calculations within 150 or so years of your start? I'm in 8440 right now and began in 8282, and at present it's taking me almost as much time to do the month-start calculations as it is to actually get through a month. The actual speed of the mod mid-month is fine, as are end-of-year savegames (the bloat bug from the previous two versions is properly gone now), but the calculations the game seems to be doing all the time are really killing my desire to keep going. Other mods which add many characters, such as HIP with SWMH, don't cause similar issues in my experience, though I believe GoT does add more overall; is it simply volume over time that's causing this, or is there a potential bug lurking here?

To put aside concerns about my hardware, I'm running CK2 on a solid-state with as much RAM as CK2 can handle, and with a brand-new i7 Coffee Lake processor, so it's not my specs. If others have been able to keep month-to-month calculations running smoothly for hundreds of years, I'd love to know how.

It is common for me from ~100 years in. Mid-month I get lag too though, time doesn't necessarily pass any slower but it jitters a lot (that starts maybe 30-50 years in). I'm probably not a good reference point though because my computer is mostly held together with duct tape, but still AGOT is the only mod I seem to have trouble with.

Can confirm that 100 years campain becomes quite uncomfortable to playing, but in other hand game is very stable for me.I've played 120 years campaign(no time for long playing sadly:() and no single crash. Also I do not remember gamebreaking CTD recently so very good work;)
