i have been playing more or less conquer the world as russia and as turkey.
its a GREAT game but i have a prob that keeps occuring, about 1540 rebels start coming out of the ground EVERYWHERE.
i have checked religion slider have stationed troops in countries (sigh, each individual country) and have just had troops stationed around to attack them when they showed.
i KNOW i MUST be doing something wrong but for the life of me i can;t figure it out. its not that i didn't expect rebels..its just that i didn'rt know the rest of the game was going to be me agianst them. can anyone help me or give me some input please? thanks folks

Or by the other words: you probably have too much nationalism: every time you conquer province that is not yours, you will get nationalism penalty: 3% revolt risk. It goes away in 30 years (-1% every 10 years), but there is no other way dealing with it then waiting.

There might be some other problem as well. Find it out this way: click on province, click on church, hold your mouse over revolution risk for a couple of seconds and you get a report what causes rebellion. If you know the problem, it's easier to fix it :)

What Hjarg said. :) Anyhow, at first glance, it looks like this might possibly be a war fatigue problem (since you say you've been playing "conquer the world").

Yup, what they said. The one thing I can add, which I figured out after weeks of playing, is that no matter what you do to make the nationalistic provinces happy [religion, judges, stability, ect] the revolt level never drops below that pesky nationalism level. It may appear that it adds up to zero, but it is always >= the nationalism level.

You mean it says that the risk is zero but is actually 3%? I noticed in one game as Russia that I'd have a clockwork revolt in Livonia but it did stop eventually.

When you conquer a non-national province, that province will have a special +3% nationalism revolt risk, which means that there will be at least a 3% chance of revolt in that province regardless of any other factors. Over a 30 period this risk decreases to 2%, then 1%, and finally reaches 0.

Rebels ? Unleash your anger, give in to the Dark Side, that usually works for me.

I find your lack of Faith disturbing!
