[Help] Adding a tab to the empire view

Apologies if this is the wrong forum but I'm trying to add a fourth tab to the empire view. I've found interface/empire_view and added the button. But it is "aktive" all the time and my (copied) window gets imposed on top of the other three.

So how do I interfaces and windows connect? How is the connection between the leader button and the leader tab handeld for example. Thanks for any answers.

I tried getting tabs to work opening windows from other other windows but it seems not to work for me.
As I understand you, your tab is above the other tabs. You need to change its position along the x axis or along the y axis.
Not sure any of the intended functuality, apart from the visual button being where you want it to be, will work in the end.
