I received HOI2 yesterday and have now attempted installation 4 times (between reboots) without success.
It does not even get to the setup screen... On clicking "Install" from the autoplay screen, the InstallShield Wizard progress bar launches, and immediately halts with an error box:
"The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched, the RPC server is unavailable"
I've checked the services to ensure RPC server is running (which it is, restarted just in case) rebooted, and that's pretty much as far as I can go. Never had a problem with InstallShield apps before.... :/
System: HP Pavilion Laptop 1.5M, 1.25GB mem, Radeon 9200 64MB graphics, Win XP sp2
