Every time I try to launch it either a white screen pops up and loads. Then it becomes unresponsive and crashes. I tried disabling unit sprites and intro videos and launching through exe. I set it to reduced 16 bit mode and uninstalled and re verified it. Nothing seems to work. I am on a very good gaming laptop with windows 10 and Nividia with the latest version of the game. Please help

Oh and I would also like to add that everytime i launch the game, after it becomes unresponsive and crashes. The game resets back to 1.4 for some reason

Where did you buy the game? Steam, Gog or elsewhere?
What patch level are you using? How did you install the latest patch?
Are you using any mods?
Did you enable Direct Play as legacy component?

I did enable direct play as legacy component.
I bought it from steam

If by "installed from here" you used the installer than maybe that's the issue.
If that's what you've done, I suggest deinstalling and reinstalling the game. Then follow instructions to update to 1.05.1 for Steam Users (select beta 1.05.1 from Properties->Beta tab)
