help needed: how to mod scenario_character files?

I'm facing some problem while trying to mod the scenario_character 1066 file; i can open it (with wordpad) and change its content, but when I go for saving, a window appears "the file can't be found". Then I can save by changing the name, but it changes also the file code from INC to text file, and when I load the game a window appears saying "Cant't open the ... file". So hw do you mod it? Maybe my computer doesn't recognize this INC code.

No: how can I?

In Windows, right-click on the file, select Properties, and there should be a tick-box next to the read-only flag which you need to deselect.

Also be sure to change display options to show file type (in Windows Explorer/My Computer) else it will add .txt to the end without you knowing it.

If I am not mistaken, you can just rename it from .txt to .INC

thanx, I just opened the "properties" window and remove the readonly x, that was all!
