As Pasha mentioned, the mods cannot be combined. However, in some cases mods can be considered as "submods."

In order to understand the basic structure of Darkest Hour mods, prior to downloading and installing any of the mods, have a look in the following Darkest Hour directory:
  • ..\Darkest Hour\Mods\
If recalling correctly (and if no additional mods have been added), within the above directory one should find the following two folders:
  • Darkest Hour Full
  • Darkest Hour Light
These are the two options available when one initiates the "Darkest Hour Launcher."

If curious about the mod structure for Darkest Hour (and depending on one's available disk space on their computer) copy one of the two folders and paste it into the same directory (note: the "Darkest Hour Light" folder should be the smaller size of the two). The outcome should be something such as:
  • Copy of Darkest Hour Full; or,
  • Copy of Darkest Hour Light
Now, when the launcher is initiated, one will find three options:
  • Darkest Hour Full
  • Darkest Hour Light
  • Copy of Darkest Hour Full
    • (or "Copy of Darkest Hour Light", if this was the folder that was copied)
Here, the "Copy of Darkest Hour Full" option can be considered as one of the mods from this forum, such as: "The Grand Campaign" or "World in Flames" or "Eternal War" and so on. However, if one were to select the "Copy of Darkest Hour Full" option from the Darkest Hour Launcher, then they will launch the standard Darkest Hour Full since the folder is just a copy; the "Darkest Hour Full" folder was duplicated. Therefore, one can have as many copies of "Darkest Hour Full" as space on their computer permits. Such as, "Darkest Hour Full ABC"; "Darkest Hour Full XYZ"; "Darkest Hour Full 123"; etc.

In most cases, a Darkest Hour modification is likely a variation of the standard "Darkest Hour Full" folder, hence why the example above is worthwhile.

At this point, if one recognizes each Darkest Hour mod as a duplicated variation of the "Darkest Hour Full" folder located within the "..\Darkest Hour\Mods\" directory, then they will have acquired a basic understanding of how Darkest Hour mods are installed.

Now then, delete the "Copy of Darkest Hour Full" folder because it's just a copy of the standard mod and not necessary.

If still not sure, try to think of each mod that is downloaded as a variation of a duplicated "Darkest Hour Full" folder. Again, "Copy of Darkest Hour Full" can be considered as "Edge of Darkness" or "Blood and Iron", and so on. Eventually, one may have over a dozen mods available within the Darkest Hour launcher, where each mod is a likely a variation of a duplicated "Darkest Hour Full" folder.

Finally, in some cases -- such as the "Strategic Regions Flavour Events v2.1" -- the mod is a "submod" and can be considered as an addition to other mods. In these cases, it is worth following the specific installation instructions for that particular sub modification.
