Hello.
I want create a mod, and i hope modify a file nominated customization.gui located in Stellaris\interface\game_setup folder. But, my modifications are not taken into consideration. Same, after have deleted the file for a test, the game don't crash, no bug graphic, no bug on text, ect... I can play without problem.

My questions are :
  • This files is just here for fun ?
  • This file have an real interest ?
Thx alot.

Customization.gui is the file responsible for the visual arrangement of the "create a new empire" screen when you start a new game and the responsible windows and tooltip locations.
What do you want to do with it?

I want modify informations in.

But all modifications in this file are not visible ingame. Same, when i delete this file, the visual arrangement of the "create a new empire" screen have no problem. the game don't crash, ect... This files is not useful for the game on my pc. Weird.

Look in the \Stellaris\interface\customize_species_editors.gui
I think the whole folder game_setup is left over old files no longer in use.
For the information you need to modify the tooltips themselves. These you can find in the localisation.yml files in \Stellaris\localisation\

Thx, but on "Stellaris\interface\customize_species_editors.gui", all modifications are applies. When i create a button, it is not activable.

For the "localisation.yml" file , it doesn't exist.

As far as I know the UI is hardcoded and cant be changed. You can add buttons but they wont do anything as you cant tell them their purpose.

For the localisation file, there is one for each language.
