I recall my latest DA, last Sunday when I DAed the Papal states. They had one army, and it worked fine. It did not become a ghost army. But I remember getting a ghost army when I made a DA in DbD3 a few months back. But that is the only occcurence I remember and I must have DAed surely 20 times these same months.

Very rare bug I say. Apparently there must exist some rare (set of) condition(s) for this to happen.

I have it occur approximately half of the time I DA some nation in MP.

Thanks all. Feel free to sticky this thread, or copy the bugs into a sticky thread, for future reference.

Not my experience at all.

Seems to me atleast 50% of DAs result in ghost armies. Sometimes they remain on rehost and others not.

Yeah. After all this time playing EU2, I still don't have the slightest clue what causes this... sometimes it's there, sometimes it ain't - but to me, it seems random which it is...

As I said before, it is always the larger of two armies, and if there's only one army if doesn't go ghosted. Not sure if 2 armies in two different provinces are governed by that still, would be interesting to see.

I *think* it has something to do with not being completely in synch with the host (not sure, but I have, afaik, never heard a host complaining about it) as quite often, others don't even SEE that army.

this bug happened in LAN games with same frequency
