Help-Typhoon Games Version

Hi I bought Empire under the Sun originally when passing through Singapore - it was released by another games publisher (Typhoon Games). I recently bought the revolutions upgrade - but this does not recognise my installation - it installed originally into a folder called 'empire' rather than under paradox games. Any help please.

Some publishers may not add the right keys (or any keys) to the registry; see this thread and the threads that are linked from it for more info:

The typhoon copy does not create a registry entry so the patch or revolutions will not be able to update the game.

Their installer is actually quite bad, all it does is copy the uninstalled game that is on the CD onto your HD, if you open your CD and look into the folder, its the complete uncompressed game, you can actually play off the CD! or copy the game direct off the CD without even using the installer...doh
