I recently purchased Europa-Universalis in the UK. The game came as version 1.07. When I installed the game, it ran fine. Once I put the UK patch 1.08 on and tried to run the game the game notified me "CD not found" although the CD was in the drive. I couldn't play the game untill I re-installed.

Did anyone else get this problem? How do I fix it? Is there anyway to directly contact technical support?

Does the box have a "Koch Media" logo on the back?

Are you *sure* it was the UK Patch you downloaded?

Have you changed CD ROM drive letters in between installing the game and the patch?

There have been several answers to this problem. depending on the cause.

Might I suggest you visit the "search" button at top right and do a looksee.

Post back with results.......

I did have the same problem.
While installing the patch, the settings of my drives (CD-RW and ZIP) where switched. I couldn't play until I corrected my settings, and rebooted afterwards.

Good luck

Had the same thing with the uk and benelux patch.
I then tried the german patch and that one did work, but the game was now completle in german, so i kopied the english text file over the german text file and voila upgraded to 1.08 and in english.

I'll try...

Dathon's idea sounds intresting... I'll try that and report the results.

As for the other questions:
I only have one CD drive so there can't have been a mix-up
I am absoloutly certin it WAS the UK patch, downloaded it twice. I am sure it was diftrbuted by KOCH and I tried running the NA patch, (just in case), with no luck.

Anyway, maybe the German patch thing will do the trick...
