I didn't get any response in the main forum, so I'll post this here.

Meet the great Pope Vitalian II:

My problem is, he is me. A short explanation: I was playing as the Dukes of Barcelona, and got hammered by a big united Sultanate of Mauretania-Al-Andalus, and in a moment of desperation, I vassalized myself to the Pope for protection (which did pay off, btw. the Pope has some big armies, and kept giving me cash every so often). A few decades later, with Mauretania embroiled in a civil war, I fought three successive (and successful) campaigns to take my land back and then some. Then I went to DoW the Pope for my independence again, and noticed I also could depose him. Interested, I clicked the Depose liege option and won. Now, this.

My question: will little Pere inherit the Papacy? or will it go to some bishop? How will this work? Or is this a bug and not WAD?

Second question: I'm short on dough at the moment, but if I create the Kingdom of Aragon and make it primary, can I grant the Papacy title away (since they are both king-level)? (back to the old Pope or another bishop?)

Third question, and definitely a bug:

Since one "cannot interact with self", I cannot lift my own excommunication as Pope?
