help with scenario ed

does anyone know how to change province control for countries, i did it once and i have no idea how to do it again.

find the INC files for the country you want add the number of the province to its list. Then find the file for the country you took province from and delete them. Also if there are units based there you need to move or remove them as well. I am not sure how to find the number of the province though.

Is it necessary to edit it that way, or is there a way to do it in scenario ed because that's how i first did it.

ps does scen ed require you to edit files to work, or is that just a more advanced technique.

Well the scenario editor doesn't work/buggy. Alot of people (if not all) use notepad for there editing. To find the province names press f12 and type showid. Then follow what target22 said.

Another ques, what patch are you using?(you should have 1.06c or atleast 1.05c) because my editor hasn't worked in ages.
