I am trying to make a simple edit to the naming system of the Breton culture. I would like for the displayed surname to be "son of" instead of "mab". How would I go about doing that?
Find the culture folder in the Paradox files in common/Culture/Cultures, you’ll find a list of all the culture groups in the game, locate the culture you want to edit, and then use ‘ctrl-f’ to find ‘Mab’, when you find it, simply edit it to ‘son of’ and that should be it.

Thanks mate. I've done that but the edit does not display in game. Why?

You have to make a new folder with a mod name. Create a folder called common. Inside Common create a folder called Culture. Inside that folder place a folder called ‘Cultures’. Now copy and paste the file you want to edit into this folder. Make sure you’ve made the edit you wanted to make. Now open the Paradox Launcher and click ‘Mod tools’ and name your mod. From there just click ‘create mod’. A folder will now have been created in Documents/Paradox Interactive/ Crusader Kong’s 3/Game/mod (I think it I remember correctly, either way you should find the right folder anyway) Now move all your previous folders into the mod folder in Documents. Return to the launcher and activate your mod. Now launch the game. Your mod should now be working.

Thanx again. You know what it was? I had to exit the game and load again for the changes to show. Thanks again for your help. The mod creation steps are very useful. :D

It actually took me like a week to figure out what you had just described. Thanx! :D
