Help with startup error - WS2_32.dll

Hello,

Everytime I try to startup EU I see a small white square on the monitor, then I get an error message: .DLL, WS2_32.dll was not found. Why does it give me this message, will I be able to fix it? Thank you very much, I am very anxious to play this game.

I might be wrong here but that sounds a lot like you haven't installed Winsocks v2. Which conveniently is on the install CD, and as it said in the readme file you should install... Didn't you read the readme ? ) Install it and things should be working...

And how can we install it on Windows 98 when Winsock 2.0 is made for 95?

It should only be installed on Windows 95. Have you got this problem on a Win 98 machine?

I have experienced the same problem. After some hours of trying different solutions I renamed WSOCK2_32.dll to WS2_32.dll and it works perfectly!!!!!
