Greetings, I'm trying to find a way to modify the map and so far the utility I've found that allows one to do this is Magellan. I've read as much as I could find on how to use this utility and how to get it to work and so far I've had no luck. In the end I've learned that Magellan can't be used with the FTG map as it looks for .csv files which aren't used in FTG. However, some have managed it so there must be a way to get it to work, but I can't find any information regarding this.
So far I've been trying to extract the map with mextract with no success. Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way and there is no need to extract the map in order to edit it, but if so the actual descriptions of these tools is pretty vague and information on their use and function hard to come by. In general I only make a post asking for help as a last resort or when I've become too frustrated to look any further.
If it helps, what I plan to do is initially add a few provinces, I suspect that there is set number of provinces so lowering or raising the amount on the map won't work, in which case I'm prepared to do a little rearranging. In the long run I'm trying to add a new nation centered in the pacific in Micronesia.
