How will the various Christian heretical sects (Cathars, Waldensians, Bogomils) be represented in the game? Under a single "heretic" label or separately? Will you be able to declare crusades against provinces with too many heretics (I want to see the Albigensian crusade :D)? What about various minor Muslim sects (Nizari, Ismailis, Sufi, Kharijites, etc)? Will the Assassins be in? ;)

How would you "war" against them or repress them?

it's hashash resp. hashashin (pl.) ... however, they were neither a religion nor a sect, rather some sort of pseudo-religious political order.
As I said - different spelling of the same word. Quite normal with transcripts from languages using different alphabeths. :)

Oh, and I'd say they were a sect - they were more about religion than politics originally...

The Assassins were associated with the Nizari Shiite sect which in turn was descended from the Fatimid sect/Caliphate in Egypt. So yes they were a religious sect first. Nobody answered my original question though, are there different heretics in the game and can you oppress them? :)

I dont think anyone other then developers and testers know the answer.

I can tell you though that in an MP game, I will do everything I possibly can to build a concensus that certain players are heritics and they should be smited :D

I would bet, maybe. Lol. Just oppress the heathen muslims...lol

I hope that crusades will be in CK.
Their main target were muslim and pagan nations but heretics, too. Medieval Catholic Europe wasn't in any way tolerant for other religions than catholicism (with some exception for orthodox faith) and this should be represented in CK.
