Usa

October 9th 1941 is a day that will live in infamy. The Japanese declared war and attacked the USA on this day. US forces were not ready for such an attack at this time and took some time to muster and rally. The Japanese attacked the Philippines, Wake Island, Guam, Singapore, Hong Kong, and looked to be moving towards midway. Grand Admiral Nimitz engaged a large fleet (24) of class 4 subs with his carrier fleet outside of Midway island loosing 2 CLs and 2 DDs for 4 submarines before disengaging in order to protect the valuable carriers. Later that day grand Admiral Kinkaid moved his sub hunting task force into the area and sank 4 more subs for no losses as the subs retreated.
US Air corps forces moved quickly to defend many Islands that had prepared secret airbases under the operation name of Draw the Line. This maneuver hampered limited Japanese efforts to take Midway and other Islands.
US Ground forces took much longer to react finally moving forward to garrison these bases and preparing for Operation Roundabout. The operation is classified so I cannot get any information on this operation.
Other than one major engagement with subs and a few minor air engagements the Japanese have proved to be a Paper Tiger.
The Philippine navy scored a major success holding a Japanese transport fleet in place while a British fleet moved in and destroyed them. This fleet consisted of several transports and a carrier, all of which were destroyed.

We have sent a lot of aid to the SU but it is not doing well, without them ground victories against the Axis forces will be all but impossible. Only time will tell if the Bear can recover.

This is Bob Jenkins reporting.

Japan

Sept 1941 - Jan 1942

The japanese military decided to make the big strike on 9 october, Guam and Wake island was occupied in a fast operation called "operation seaturtle".
Later Phillippines was invaded without much resistance. The armies also started to move into british burma from china. However this attack seem to have been anticipated by the british and the battles have been hard and bloody in the rough terrain there. Airforcebattles have taken place but with no good airfields for any side, little can be achieved by these means.

The axis was so thrilled about the attack that they even invited a japanese representative to their annual meeting, where they offered us to join their alliance, which we did. Blueprints for new inventions was also exchanged in a quick effective way.

Altough the beer was on adolf, the japanese military advisor under the codename R2-D2 never really felt like "one of the guys" during his meeting with the axis leaders.

The japanese attack came as a total surprise for the unsuspecting americans and most of the main objectives have been achieved.

The future will be tough for japan. Large british, french and american armies, fleets and airforces have been encountered during the latest months, especially in burma and in the south pacific. Hopefully this will divert the angloamerican alliance's forces so much that the Soviet moose can be put to sleep quickly and the axis alliance can help their japanese brothers with full force.

Nationalist Spain

In last session not much happened for the spanish troops. The regiment of all mechanised infantry had a fierce fight in Baltic against Soviet mobilised troops.
Happily, they couldnt encircle any troops.
The Italians went deep through Soviet east and did eventually conquer Baku.
At same time the Mighty Japanese joined the war and did well in the Filipines (?).

The Russian Commander does a good job but must soon realise that the german modern soldier is to good for the russians, war will soon be over in east, hopefully..

Revolution - United Kingdom

The last few months have been rather difficult. The axis continue to press hard into the USSR and germany has created terrifying weapons of destruction in the V1 Rocket.

Several pinched battles have taken place against Japan...Jungle warfare has become a regularity as British troops attempt to hold back the pressing japanese army while our fighters tear into each other over destroyed airbases. The sea battles have been somewhat back and forth but certainly have not favored japan as they have seen the loss of a carrier, several transports, and many submarines. At this rate it is only a matter of time before the combined forces of the UK and USA land in Japan itself, forcing the capitulation of the Japanese forces and giving the allies complete dominance of the seas once again.

Italy

Italian troops launched an attack against SU in the south front. Later this was called as The Great March to Stalingrad. More then half million italin troops started the attack with the help of the german 5th panzer army.

Our intel wasnt good enough so ,when soviet armored and motorized divisions showed up we were shocked that we could loose the whole rostov area. It was too late to call of the attack when sovet troops startet to attack my main battlegroup in Kashary prov east of Rostov. The bold counterattack with superior bomber support was so fierce that even the soviet commisars were afraid of conitnueing their attack, and as we hoped called it of. For a week our bombers ravaged their armored colums , many divisions were disbaded due to the high casualty rate after our bombing raids.

After a week it was clear the demoralized soldiers wont be able to hold our next attack. By this time the 5th panzer army reached the river cutting of nearly 40 soviet divisions, soon all of them were surrendered. After this devastating battle, the soviets afraid of be out of supplies, redeployed their remaining troops to Stalingrad via FTL railroad system :(

In the west or africa we didnt met any uk divs , which could be the cause of japan attack on indochina. Well we still running our convoj raids which arent as succesfull as we thought but sometimes allied anti submarine fleets come to clear the way to india, most of them never leave our bombers range alive :)

USA Final

The USA and UK sued for peace after the colapse of the SU. The combined forces of the UK and USA took back the marshalls, Marcus island. US forces were about to invade Guam and Iwo Jima. The combined forces of the UK and US Destroyed 90% of the Japanese capital ships not counting ca's (1cv and 1bc left) as well as a good portion of the japanese army. With Uk forces taking okinawa it seemed just a matter of time before we landed troops in Japan. This was not to be the case. The soviet Union colapsed and the leadership of the USA and UK decided a ground war vs so many axis divsions would be impossible.

Other than loosing 24 divisons to the japanese in the burma area via 55 axis air divsions cutting off all hope of a naval retreat or reinforcement, the usa suffered very light casualties for the war inflicting a good number of losses on japanese island troops, and navy. Total US casualties for the war was 4 transports, 4 cls, 2 dd, 5 ww1 dd and 26 divsions. Of the 90 ships japan currently has left 28 are transports, 14 are subs, and only 10 surface ships were above class2. The us navy had 155 surface combat ships. The Uk navy had 81 surface combat ships.
The USA did its best to support the more prepared and experianced UK forces, as it built up its land forces. It was only a matter of weeks before an invasion Mainland japan would have been attempted. In 3 more weeks 18 armor were slated to invade china, no one knows how that would have gone.

Japan

Jan 1942 - mars 1942

The americans wasted no time when begining their counteroffensive in the pacific islandworld. With the major part of our own navy and airforce busy dealing with all kinds of allied forces around burma and the americans horrible shorebombardment, there was no hope for the smaller islands, only the islands with big enough ports to support a bigger garrison was worth trying to hold it seemed.

In burma the future seemed equally dark. Just when we had begun our step by step retreat to the mountains of china because of overwhelming resistanse from mostly american, british and french armies and airforces, reports came in saying that there had been a big withdrawl of their troops that held the back of their advance. At the same time the americans had taken over the important inland mandalayairport with their best troops, leaving the shores and retreatway back to india very weak. Our retreat was cancelled and new troops were called in fast to land behind them in burma.
This was the begining of the end of the americans adventures in mainland asia. All was killed around 24 divs + some minor allies divs.
Sadly we lost about 10 divs when we later landed in calcutta only to realize that british armorunits had been hiding just near that area inlands.

Phillippines was invaded by ukforces later and the threat against mainlandjapan was obvious since the 30+ divs was no ordinary garrisonarmy for that island. Just when most airforce had been called back there, news of sovietunions collapse reached us and the allies gave up realizing that with so much axis land and airforce releases from duty in USSR there would be little they could do.

Nice game.

That was a shocking offensive that met me :p

The harsh Soviet winter made offensives hard in USSR, but the axis forces had to press on to defeat the Bolshevik threat. The axis forces broke through the USSR defences east of Moscow and the Axis forces could then cut off USSR from the Far East. Stalin realized that when the snow cleared nothing could stop the axis war machine and his forces would be crushed in the summer. To spare the Russian people from more suffering he choice the only option available to him: UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.
The situation in the Far East was not looking good. UK and USA had realized that Germany and her allies were too strong for them to take on and had therefore focused all their might on Japan. To help the Japanese to repeal the Allied onslaught, 12 German tactical bombes were sent to the Far East.

Since USSR had been defeated and the UK industrial strength lay in ruins due to rocket attacks, the allies realized that further resistance would only invite more death and destruction on their countries with no hope of ever defeating the Axis. Therefore UK and USA both gave up.

Good game all.
