I do a clean vaniila 1.0 then 1.3a then 1.3b then Graphics 0.373 and 0.374 and then HIP 0.374... I also found on the downlods page a file AI Research under Bugfixes... Should I move it to events? Thanks.

This is only for v0.373 users, the bug was fixed in v0.373b already. All those bugs will be fixed in the next higher version. So "no" would be the answer.

Panther G I like that OOB for Indian Army

I've found this to be an overall very good site even though its Sept 39' I'm sure Jan 36' is the same. iT Shows upward to 12 Indian Divisions at lease 1 Armoured Division an 1 weak Armoured Division. Many of the deployments are over sized bde. It's easy to see the Indian Army has been to much under sized.

The UK AI build up is improving, they are now building some armor, more ships and probably still too many planes.

I am thinking about British India as a puppet state, but there are good arguments pro and against, it is not as clear as for Egypt.

You are probably refering to the installer version, that one is only 0.37, but you can simply unpack v0.38 over it. There is a packed and an installer version (provided by KeldorKatarn), the packed one is always up to date. To keep track with the installer version, you need to unpack the latest packed version in your HIP directory.

But I would recommend to use the packed version (faster to install, lower likelyhood of errors/problems)

Sure you can apply other graphic mods after HIP is installed or remove graphics before you unpack the graphics part.

I can only say that my first impressions on HIP, are very positive, I of course cannot speak about them all, cuz I only play Germany, and the changes made to things concerning other countries only intrest me in the way they affect the way AI performs or add some historical accuracy to the the game... What I can tell u is there´s already alot of that in mod... SOV plays ( or at least played somewhat better this time. I only made one game in HIP, and stiLL continues ) . I´ve tried to screen all changes that directly affected germany... But there´s so many ( The cheer quantity of litle changes is staggering ), some I understand and already seen happening others I´m still waiting some if they happened or are in effect i did´nt notice ( I´m sure that ignorance in the game mechanics and rules from my part do not help... )
And so What I need is to know if all changes are open to discussion here, because there´s so much I would like so see clarified on how it works what effects does it produce... Overall what do some things translate in game terms ). But I don´t want to flood the forum with stuff without knowing if this isn´t out of topic so... Just a few ones k ? :)

- DAK . I´ve seen a litle mention on that here in the forum... but how does it work? only if italy is an ally ? is it just a transport in human play ? Why nt create a ArmeeKorps name " Deutsche Afrika Korps " ?? with the correct divs appearing ?

- Is it possible to add some kind of sleep leader event ( I´m thinking about starting a thread on this subject ) to bring lower ranked officers to play ( some kind of promotion event )?? I would very much like to see this at least discussed about "if possible" details ( don´t have the right word in english :(

If some of these ideas was already discussed I apologize I, still haven´t seen where, so....Lastly a word on the guys who made this possible ! Thank you for all your colossal work it´s not easy...but be sure is well apreciated ! :)

Forts are added there, but just one per province, symbolizing the last construction phase.

The Czech forts were NOT completed at that time. The event gives forts, that represent that state. Forts are scripted, because they are so expensive and would screw early military production.

Skoda was removed again, because Germany has better teams and does not need them. The two tank divs are there as event.

They are there, visible only for the specific country. There are many, many events, which you do not see, because they use "AI_EVENT", making them invisible for other countries.

Human has to build on its own, the AI will only build, when it has enough military forces and can afford it. Those forts were not cheap

Ostwall 800.000.000 RM
Westwall 1.300.000.000 RM

Those real world prices already include the "Todt" factor.

There was an event giving one mot div, but it was removed. Human can bring troops there, the AI should not, because this would create more confusion than it would do good.

You can raise leader skill in an event, but you can not check his rank or skill before. So such a system would open up many exploits. I have also commented in your thread.

A follow up on the Indian Army

I just got Osprey's Elite 75 The Indian Army 1914-1947: The book has a great over veiw an some details. I'll the info that might be helpful
1] The site I gave you on the 1939 OOB seems to be very good. What it didn't tell you. In 1922 the army reorginized to 10 bn, regt. the 10th bn being training bn. It apears that the inter war years the army manitaned around 400,000 men but it doesn't go into details. There was a real fear the Russians were going to invade India through Afghanistan. That's why a strong deployment in the NW Fronitier, they also fought a rebal war from 1935-1937. India forces should be locked into place till Sept 1939. The debat on number of divisions the manpower was there if you want to place upwards to 12 divisions. But given the situation as explained in the book; The 1st, 2nd and 3rd divisions were HQ pre WWII the rest would be hidden an would be trigger; 4th & 5th Div. Sept 1939, 9th Div Sept 1940, 7th, 8th & 11th Div. Oct 1940 10th Div. Jan 1941, 6th Div. March 1941 the other came 42' or latter or you could just put a mobization event in.
2] Cavalery their were 7 bdes all were horse till after the war starts it doesn't give details but they went M3 Stuart and latter M4 Sherman probley lend least 1st Armoured Aust. 1940 redesignated 31st, in Dec. 1941, 2nd Armoured April 1941 redesignated 32nd, Dec. 1941.
Indian divisions should be upgraded last when WWII started most forces were 1918 vintage
 
Excellent info. Currently HIP has 7 inf, with 17,000 * 7 = 119,000 combat troops, no HQ. 12 divs are reasonable for 400,000 men. I have reintroduced the original 12 . There were already 4 divs added in mobilization in Calcutta (model 2), those will be reduced to 2, 1918 model. The Indian divs will be locked until the UK is at war with a major power.

I was doing some checking a week ago ran across this site on RAF Squadrons

found it to be a great read. The RAF base works off squadrons 16 X 6 = 96 planes for a group so I ramdonly 6 squadrons for each groups under their commands. What I found out was the scope of the build up in 1936 & 1937 the groups that were short I looked at the dates of newly fromed squadrons till I had 6 squadrons per group [ Grp filled out date ] Put the month/year formed about 60% were formed at 25%, the rest it doesn't say.
