HOI 1 Map

Just as a quick question, is it possible or feasible to use the HOI 1 Map in AoD?


Yes I know it would be ton of work to re-do the areas, AI, events etc, but I am curious as I always liked the old map better.

It's technically possible as both games have the same engine. Feasability is I think a greater concern as it would take ages to convert the game to work with the map. Seriously, I think your looking at a few months, if it's a one-man job. There's a lot you need to change.

Okay, that makes sense. I was actually interested in making the map more simple. Mex's mod is very interesting, but he's moving in the direction of more complexity, not less. But thanks for answering.

Well the original release of his mod will just be a nicer looking version of the HOI2 map with no/few new provinces to be easily compatible to AoD. Then he's going to add some more provinces so that are more tactical possibilities.
