HOI 2 Aussie group..Tuesday game(7pm-11pm)

  • We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
Just leave it at .4 for the moment...we can always change before we play. There is still ongoing discussion but .4 wont unbalance the game. As you are aware Mike is moving house and at the moment his interenet is still not connected. I suggest we all keep in touch with the forum to find out when we can start.
 
Hi all, im in my new house now. But my internet is still not connected only got the free dial up service iinet provides while waiting. And it now looks like my connection wont be up until next wednesday due to Telstra. Appanrtly Telstra needs to update the port to my house at that exchange, so thats the delay wiating for the port to be updated otherwise it was all set to go today. Oh well ill keep intouch on the forums and lets yous know if im connected any sooner.

Le poisson de Babel est tout à fait utile, il vous permet de changer anglais-français, maintenant je babillera comme si je sais ce que je dis.

M'excuser. Je simplement tentais à l'épice en haut la conversation dans un style de Clouseau d'Inspecteur -- n'assassine pas la langue française ! (a pensé même cela est évidemment ce qu'arrivera)

Je me fais remarquer simplement - une situation où un joueur français humain, avec 3 ennemis de joueur humains déclarés sur ses frontières -- finira par simplement avec une France démembré !

Hi Nolan -- I had planned to check these USA sliders, but have been caught up playing as France in SP, trying to figure out a half decent strategy.

Translation from my previous French Report:

Excuse me. I simply attempted to spice up the conversation in an Inspector Clouseau style - not murder the French language! (even though this is quite evident.)

I simply point out - I will be in a position as a human French player, with 3 human enemies on my borders - it will end simply with a dismembered France!

Perhaps you could start-up a thread in the main MP forum -- I know that there are some hard-core USA people in there.....

Glad to see I'll be getting some help in the mediterrainian with spain, those new upgrades costs really hurt poor old italy & it's outdated army!

Please dont foget this change before starting game.

Follow these instructions....reboot after changing.

Step 1 Go into the HOI 2 Folder.
Step 2 Open db Folder
Step 3 Look for "misc" file and double click it
Step 4 Scroll down to this line "# Reinforcement Manpower Cost Factor"
.8
Step 5 Change the .8 to .4(Just delete 8 type in 4 same location)
Step 6 Go to file menu top left
Step 7 Select save
 
If you quit Major I am going to be really pissed. :mad: If you got an issue with Spain, spell it out and we can talk it through. :mad:

btw Ethiopia and Vietnam are both really lame :(
 
If people don't want me to release ethiopia, just add it to the rules for our next game. I would never break a rule.

Major released several puppets in our last game, I assumed that if he was doing it, then I was allowed to do it.

But I don't know all of this group's obscure "It's not a rule but nobody is allowed to do it" exceptions....

Which is why I asked for house rules to be written at the start.

I dont quit....The whole thing sucks.A human Nationalist spain allying in 1936 in my oponion completely unblances the game. You have 3 techs teams all working on blueprints gained from Germany. You will be doing 6 techs to my 5 unless I am lucky and get some of my Allies. Spain and Germany can control every sea area within 1000km of the Spainish coast with some nice big airfields to help as well. I will have to transport my divisions to Africa thru the Pacific! My convoys will be raped not only by German planes but by Spanish planes. You will be able to concentrate on naval bombers and fighters almost doubling the Airpower the Axis could normally deploy in that area. To hold Gilbralter I will have to deploy a massive defensive force. Why am I the only one who sees this threat. On top of that I have to deal with a puppeted Eithopia, hold of the Italians stop a German invasion of the UK and help out France. Than if I survive that long I have to try and get something to the Pacific to deal with a Human Jap player. Than after the Axis Ally with Portugal I will have to deal with another dozen provinces in Africa. I will have to start teleporting divisions around the globe.
 
I Understand your conerns major, any one can see it will be diffucult.

Like i tried to tell you last night you have no idea what im building and will be suprised, i dont plan on building lots of naval bombers, if any. I dont plan on stationing lots of aircraft in spain to bomb your crappy convoys.

You are looking far to much into the future talking about events as if they were already written, i have yet to play a game in hoi 2 were everything happened the same as the game before. Spain will be tough, but like you told me last game with JH france is a big help with techs, as France can focus on Land techs while you do air & sea or industrial, The French army & airforce will be alot more modern and what does survie im sure you will put to good use. Such as those invasions you did last game with some help of some french divs.

The point is you dont know how it will turn out and how is Spain going to defend its many provinces in africa against your all powerful navy let alond when the US is in it. Take a deep breath, your getting to far in front of yourself.

On another point, i think it would be best to scrap our other game on sunday as there are far to many porbs with people swapping from 1.1 to 1.2, a few cant even do it, they have to edit there registires. I think we should just continue this game we will make alot more progress that way.

It should be an interesting game.
