HOI installation is being angry

I have encountered a curious problem. HOI has been installed on my computer before, never encountered any problems with it. This time however I was reinstalling the game and received this:

"An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file."

This occurs when the music file 550211-02.mp3 is about 80% complete. This will happen each and every time (half a dozen or so) that I try and install the game. Anyone with suggestions or helpful hints as to correct this would be fantastic, thanks.

What version of the game do you have?
Strategy First, Panvision ... ?

Oh sorry, it's Stategy First. And as I said it's worked every other time, so I'm not too sure what the problem might be. I suppose I could go ask them too.

Do you have access to another computer you could try it on? That way you could see if it was a bad disk.

You may also want to try and clean the surface with a lint free cloth and some windex.

Boy I feel like an idiot, maybe this needs to be in a FAQ somewhere---"Moron, before posting to the support forum make sure your cd doesn't have nasty junk on the bottom of it." heh, *sigh*
