I see an alliance as a football(soccer) team. All players must play together, that way they will win. (Barcelona ;))
You can't say that only 1 player(in this case 1 country) is the only player.
Of course as in football there is some players which are better and more skilled(Messi) but still it's teamplay that is the winning way.

I see an alliance as an American Football team. You need only one big, strong player to destroy the enemies defences... :D

you saved europes ass twice? Are you freakking kidding me? In ww1 americans only came in at the end of the war, when germany was exausted and in ww2 the entire western allies had trouble facing an undertrainned wehrmacht and whose 80% of forces were concentrated in the east against the soviets, and you saved europe? Suuure.

Im Australian.

We were there both times. Start to end buddy.

Australian national identity seems to be strongly tied to Europe - the battle of Gallipoli means for them probably even more than the whole Hussite revolutionary years for the Czechs.

I admit i don't know much aboutp cz history, but i had a small read on wiki of the wars of the era.

Our national identity per say is the legacy of the Anzacs. Gallipoli is like a mecca as it was where we drew first blood (as a nation). Places like Beersheba, Tobruk and Kokoda are more synonomous with there Victories though a quick read of citations for Australian VC winners from the Anzac era will make apparent why there ethos continues to link our identity to European battlefields. 10% of our population (30-40% of our male population) went off to the trenches in ww1.

Watch this sample from a classic Czechoslovak movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JANQJ5EXmms

It shows infantry revolution of the 15th century warfare. Elite armored armies of Europe never defeated a few thousand of common peasants armed with "píštala" (=pipe, whistle in Czech). Pistol is derived from that.

There are quite decent English subs.

Ah the old ANZAC myth and legend. Its alot stronger in Aussie than here and there is alot of BS around about it. That being said the Aussies were probably the best Allied soldiers in WW2, while the Canadians were probably the best in WW1 (ducks).

If Hojo doesn't show up, it's a good time for little italy to become great germany.

You are not confident on AI smartness ? :D
