People have this chat bug all the time. It has to do with YOUR router and its setup.NOT THE HOST!

Changing the host is a big NO NO. Changing host leads to save game corruptions.

I don't belive you, when we had Azzi as host I could talk with everybody.
And no it doesn't getting corrupt, we changed Azzi and Geo in the last game without getting any big bugs I guess.
But as Lodovico said we check and see how this session will be.

Fancy, you can win in Spain, just be flexibly on the fronts. Split your tanks and the divisions so you can use speed for trapping their units.
And try to upgrade and reinforce you troops, me and Germany will help you with resources and such ;)
Also your navy you must use, don't let them control the sea.
Same with the airforce, you have better! ;)
The land armies of Rep Spa is yes unfair but remember they must guard two fronts, south and north.

They control the IC.
They have locked off Seville.
They have locked us in the north of the country.
They have land superiority.

I cannot risk losing a bunch of divisions in Seville. Thats all i need to say.

How can they control the sea when you have more capitols?...
But yeah the battles for the country is not taken place on the sea, it's on the land.
You should be able to win this with a bit of luck and stupidity from the AI.

Well, it seems that we are going to start a vanilla game. We can return to KR after this game provided enough people will be willing to carry on playing.

As for the rules, I used some of vonManstein's rules Geofactor directed at. Many rules are quite obvious because they forbid gamey strategies like trading provinces to prevent annexation of countries and similar types of serious gaming of the system. Shortly put, trading provinces or units is forbidden, even with allies. But I think this is not the problem because nobody did this in the last game IIRC. (Oh yes, I traded 2 provinces in Spain to Azzi so that he could build airbases there :-D; no more in this game!)

So here is the list of rules:

1. We need at least 7 players for the game:

Players will play these countries, divided into 3 fixed factions:

- Axis (GER, JAP, ITA, Nat. China - puppeted as soon as possible by Japan and released immediately as a standard ally)
- Allies (UK, US)
- Comintern (SOV)

The game is going to be quite historical so Axis is going to fight other two alliances.

Other players can take these nations:

- both Spains (Republican can join the republicans and nationalists can join the axis - both after the Vichy France event)

- Canada, Hungary etc.

- no human can play France

- Nationalist China can be played by a human after puppeting from Japan (probably in 38-39)

- so I recommend to player number 7 to play Spain from 36, then play Nat. Spain until China gets defeated from Japan

2. No manual DoWs at all, with exceptions of course:

these manually started wars are:

- German attack on Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg can be commenced any time from the Danzig or war event.

- German attack on Denmark, Norway, Yugoslavia any time after the Vichy France event

- Italian attack on Greece any time after the Vichy France event

- German Barbarossa on the 22nd June of 1941

- Japanese attack on the USA on the 7th December 1941

- Japanese and/or Chinese attack on the SU any time from 22nd June 1941


- important:
Germany and Italy can manually DoW anyone except for the SU from the 1st Jan 1941 (Barbarossa is on historical date 22nd June 41)
Japan and China can manually DoW anyone after they join the Axis (not sooner than the historical Barbarossa)
SU can manually DoW anyone from the start of Barbarossa
the Allies cannot manually DoW at all

3. Italy joining the Axis

- Italy can join the Axis any time after the annexation of Albania

4. Japan and Nat. China joining the Axis

- both can join the Axis any time from 22nd June 1941

5. USA joining the Allies

- USA can join the Allies from the 7th Dec 1941 (when Japan attacks)

6. Nat. Spain, Rep. Spain and others war entry

- Nat. Spain can join the Axis after the Vichy France event
- Rep. Spain can join the Allies fater the Vichy France event OR it can join Comintern after the Winter War
- Romania and Bulgaria can join the Axis after the Danzig or war event

7. Historical events

- choices in some key events must be picked historically (whic are Danzig or war, Marco polo incident, Molotov-Ribbentrop pact) but others can have different outcomes (for example: UK supporting Republic Spain in SCW, SU annexing Finland in the Winter war, Slovakia to Hungary in The end of Czechoslovakia event etc.)

8. Inviting AI

- manual inviting is allowed after the Danzig event

- Hungary can be invited into the Axis via The End of Czechoslovakia event


9. Espionage

- no coups
- noone may influence a human controlled country without their permission
- this means that assasinations and smear campaigns are allowed

10. Once Japan has puppeted China, it must release it ASAP. It can avoid two US gearings for war to fire soon.

11. Military access

- military access is forbidden with the only exception:
- military access between Allies and Comintern is allowed. But it applies only for air and naval units (NOT land units). This means, for example, that American bombers can rebase to Soviet territory.

12. Combat

- surrounded troops cannot be disbanded
- redeployment of units in provinces bordering the enemy is forbidden

13. Resource trade

- Allies and Comintern cannot propose trades to AI to buy any oil or rare materials until the Danzig or war event

- however, they can accept trades involving these resources offered by AI
